This week I introduced subtraction to the class. We used counters and ten frames to learn about 'taking away' and then used a number line and pens to count down the number line.
In phonics we learnt about words starting with /dr/ and revised /br/ once again. Our sight words were: who, new, pretty and will.
As our unit of inquiry was about sharing resources and caring for the planet, when we went to the Takakiyabashi park on Thursday we all put on some glvoes and picked up rubbish. All the students worked hard and picked up cigarette butts, plastic, paper and cans. Sadly the park was really dirty!
